Recipe For Sperm Health

Did you know between the years 1989 and 2005 the sperm count fell by almost a third? A study in France was done around that time that showed a significant and continuous decrease in sperm concentration. The average men went from 73.6 million per milliliter in 1989 to 49.9 million per milliliter in 2005. This is even more significant knowing that in 1920 man had an average sperm count of a 120-150 million per milliliter. There was another study done in 2012 that showed 39% of sperm donors samples were rejected due to sperm quality or quantity. And this was with the new World Health Organization guidelines. In  2004 these guidelines were switched. But if they weren’t, 88% of sperm samples would be rejected today due to quality and quantity.

The first thing we’ll talk about is walnuts. 2.5 ounces of walnuts a day improves sperm quality in just 12 weeks. Walnuts are high in omega-3 fatty acids, which are excellent at protecting sperm health.

Next, we have a quarter cup of Brazil nuts. Brazil nuts improve sperm motility, provide nutrients essential for the testes, increase testosterone naturally, and are an excellent source of omega-6  fatty acids. Brazil nuts are also very high in selenium and a vitamin E – a powerful antioxidant combination for improving sperm health.

Next, we have pumpkin seeds. With a third cup pumpkin seeds we have very high Zinc – an essential nutrient for testosterone, sperm motility, and sperm count. They are also loaded with omega-3 fatty acids as well for improving blood flow to the sexual organs.

Next, we have goji berries. Goji berries are another powerful antioxidant. One study showed that just a half ounce a day improves sperm count in just two months. I suggest adding one ounce if you use fresh goji berries or half an ounce of dry in your trail mix.

The last ingredient is raw cacao. Raw cacao is very high L-arginine – an important amino acid that increases sperm count. They have a chocolate flavor, but they’re very better. If they’re too bitter for you, you can find chocolate bars that are made with raw cacao. You just want to make sure you get one that is at least 80%, that is not GMO and soy free.

We add all these together for one day. It is excellent, it is a trail mix, it is easy to enjoy. This recipe will also be the base for some sperm health recipes, super sperm smoothies.
